Tera Ester, formerly Tera Southard, grew up in a family flooded with educators and academia. Tera witnessed the difficulties that teachers and families faced on a daily basis. At a young age, Tera decided that she wanted to work in a field that helped others succeed and increase their quality of life through learning new skills and strategies to succeed.
Tera earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at The Florida State University, in December 2001. She then went on to earn a Master of Arts degree in Applied Behavior Analysis at The University of South Florida, in August 2004. Tera became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2005 after earning her Master’s degree and passing her board certification exam. In 2014, Tera was certified as an instructor for a training curriculum entitled, “Positively Motivating Others,” in order to teach parents, families and schools, scientifically based strategies to help their children/students succeed within their environments.
Additionally in 2014, Tera became a Certified Stepfamily Coach through intense training by Dr. Jeannette Lofas, founder of the Stepfamily Foundation. Tera’s desire to help others achieve their goals and prosper in life is ongoing with her willingness and motivation to continuously learn, in order to assist others in flourishing in life.
